Outreach Expanding Services
We began a new outreach location at Friends at the Castle, where we did salt watercolors with a very large group that was very excited to participate. Many had some kind of prior art experience and had never used salt on watercolor, which they all loved the reaction and look of.
Final details fell into place to begin a new after-hours program at We Care Arts called Maker Monday. Maker Monday will be open to the community, as well as artist clients, starting at the end of August where we will be making pressed flower suncatchers. This program will be once a month on the last Monday from 5:30-7pm, so be on the lookout for exciting new projects!
Starting in August, outreach efforts with SafeHaven will commence, beginning with a felt collage. We are very excited for this upcoming partnership and are hoping to continue expanding our community partnerships.
