A Day Filled with Art and Music
Hey there, friends! We just want to take a moment to shout out a huge “thank you” to everyone who turned up for the Arts & Jazz event on July 25th. Seriously, we couldn’t have asked for a better crowd. Over 250 of you joined us for a day bursting with creativity, community vibes, and the magical healing power of art.
What a day it was! Our senses were on overdrive, thanks to the incredible performances by three outstanding jazz groups. The EKG Trio got things rolling with their unique sound, setting the mood just right. Then, the Eddie Brookshire Band took it up a notch with their soulful beats that had everyone tapping their feet. To wrap it all up, the Kelli Campbell Quintet delivered a lively performance that lifted the spirit and left everyone with smiles on their faces.
And let’s not forget the art vendors who added their own splash of color to the day. Whether it was intricate stickers, adorable plushies, or breathtaking paintings, there was something to catch everyone's eye. Hats off to the talented artists who shared their beautiful work with us!
Let’s talk about the food—yum! Our guests were treated to some seriously tasty bites from two amazing food trucks. De'lish kept the soul fed with their scrumptious offerings, while Special Neat Treats cooled us down with their mouthwatering ice cream creations. Plus, the weather played nice, letting families enjoy a special kids' area outside. It truly was a day for everyone!
We were also thrilled to kick off our Together We Care initiative during the event. This fantastic program teams up community artists with We Care Arts artist-clients to create one-of-a-kind artworks. These masterpieces will be up for grabs at the Together We Care Gala in February 2027.
Art has this incredible power to heal, doesn’t it? Whether you were creating, viewing, or just soaking it in, we hope you felt it. Your presence and support mean the world to us and help keep our mission alive—to bring art and healing to everyone in our community.
