Theresa is one of those bright lights.
As a child, she dreamed of writing a book. This year, thanks to your support, that dream came to life. When our curriculum turned to focus on illustration, her instructor, Cassie, designed a lesson plan that invited students to write and illustrate a children’s story. Theresa, who uses a wheelchair and lives with cerebral palsy, created a beautiful book in which she meets a turtle, crab, snail, and sloth, each sharing their wisdom about living life.
