On November 14th, We Care Arts opened its doors on Wilmington Pike to warmly welcome our most loyal supporters for a memorable Donor Appreciation Night. This special evening was our way of expressing gratitude to those who have continuously supported our mission, helping us transform lives through the power of art and community.
The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with joy as our guests arrived. Thanks to the generous sponsorships from I Am Ministries Unity in Action, our evening began with a delightful array of hors d'oeuvres created by Chef Reginald Gibson. Dorothy Lane Market contributed additional delightful treats, ensuring our guests were well-fed and satisfied. For those with a sweet tooth, Benders Pub Grub provided delectable desserts that perfectly complemented the savory offerings.
To quench our thirst, we served a selection of beverages, including refreshing hot cider, a creative mocktail, and water (Redline Motorworks), ensuring everyone had something to enjoy.
Our Executive Director, Katie Neubert, emphasized the significance of continued support from our donors and expressed deep appreciation for their unwavering commitment. Her words resonated with everyone present, reinforcing the powerful impact of community support.
Following Katie’s speech, one of our talented artist-clients, Lana T., shared a moving testimony. Lana spoke about how We Care Arts has profoundly impacted her life, providing not just a creative outlet but also a supportive community. Her story was both inspiring and a testament to the transformative power of art.
As a token of our gratitude, each donor received a special gift—a collaborative piece of artwork created during a recent Visiting Artist class. This unique piece symbolized the collective effort and creativity that our donors help foster within our community.
The evening was not only a celebration of our donors but also a reminder of the positive change we can create together. We left the night feeling inspired and energized, ready to continue our mission with renewed vigor.
