Curator's Corner - Updates For December

Hello everyone!
I’m Lacey, the Art Curator here at We Care Arts, and I’m excited to share some wonderful updates with you for the month of December!
We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming exhibition at the Dayton Society of Artists. This show will feature a curated collection of artwork created by our talented We Care Arts artist-clients. The exhibition will run from December 14th through the 21st, with a shared gallery reception on Friday, December 19th. This is an amazing opportunity to support our artist-clients as their work is highlighted within our local art community.
In addition to this exhibition, our community art display at Eudora Brewhouse has been freshly updated with brand-new, winter-themed artwork. These pieces beautifully capture the season’s spirit, so if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by, and experience the artworks in person!
Our Together We Care artwork is almost complete! I’m incredibly proud of the creativity and collaboration our artists have poured into these pieces. We’re excited to showcase this collection at Front Street in February, just in time for our Gala. Be sure to stop by The Pit during Front Street’s First Friday Art Hop to view all of these pieces before they go to auction.
I’d also love to share an update on our new selfie wall! This vibrant two-wall mural was designed as the perfect backdrop for photos. It was wonderful seeing it enjoyed by our donors on Donor Night. The evening was truly special, and our guests appreciated the beautiful candle-themed artwork as a reminder that we can all help light the way.
Be sure to stay up to date with the latest news and behind-the-scenes updates by following We Care Arts on Facebook and Instagram. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read our updates and for your continued support of We Care Arts.
Thanks for reading!
I'll be back in the new year for more updates,
-Lacey
