Possibilities Project: Medals for Lily

We Care Arts, Possibilities Project is known for curating  beautiful pieces of artwork for various organizations. This year, however, the Production Class that makes the art for the Possibilites Project is embarking on a unique and heartfelt project—crafting medals for the 5K Run/Walk for Lily. This event not only commemorates the life of Lily Clingner, a vibrant Fairborn High School student whose life was tragically cut short, but it also aims to support future Fairborn graduates through scholarships.

A Unique Artistic Venture

This project presents a new challenge for the Production Class as they stretcing their skills with a different medium. The medals, which will be awarded to participants of the 5K Run/Walk for Lily, are being meticulously crafted from clay and fired in a kiln.

The clay medals symbolize more than just participation; they represent the community's love and remembrance of Lily and the support for the educational aspirations of Fairborn graduates. This thoughtful project highlights the creative adaptability and dedication of the We Care Arts Production Class, as they extend their artistic talents to honor Lily's legacy.

Remembering Lily Clingner

On December 16, 2022, the Fairborn community was shaken by the tragic loss of Lily Clingner in a car accident. She was a cherished student at Fairborn High School, known for her vivacious spirit and kind heart. In her memory, the 5K Run/Walk serves as both a tribute and a means to give back to the community she loved.

Proceeds from the race will go towards scholarships, providing opportunities for future Fairborn graduates to pursue their educational dreams.

Join the Run/Walk for Lily

The 5K Run/Walk for Lily is scheduled for Sunday, April 13, at 10:00 AM. Participants and supporters alike will gather to celebrate Lily's life and contribute to a noble cause. Whether you're an avid runner or someone who enjoys a leisurely walk, this event welcomes all who wish to honor Lily's legacy and support the education of future graduates.
