Outreach Updates for October
Outreach: October Updates

In September, we completed our final Outreach class of the year with Safehaven. During the class, our new Programming intern, Pamela, made a connection with participant Tina M., discussing their wooden assemblage projects and sources of inspiration. Our Outreach programming strives to create an environment where participants can build a sense of community among peers. In our Memory Café with Alzheimer’s Association, participants created a fall wreath. Pictured below is married couple, Dave and Kathy H, working together to create a beautiful decoration for their home. In our class with Broader Horizons, participants created their own clay animal sculptures, inspired by Salvador Dali’s “The Elephants”. Adding an art history spin to a lesson creates a well-rounded experience in the classroom, where participants use both knowledge and creativity to bring their work to life.
Throughout September, we continued to build our other existing partnerships with Brigid’s Path, Eastway, Daybreak, YWCA, and Kettering Cancer Center. Coming up in October, WCA Outreach is looking forward to providing classes at the Miami County YMCA and Beavercreek Senior Center.
We Care Arts continues to serve a growing number of organizations in Montgomery County and beyond. We are always looking for new partners! If you are interested in having WCA come to your organization, or would like to learn more, please contact
