Curator's Corner
We Care Arts In The Community

Town & Country Breezeway Exhibit
Hi everyone,
I’m Lacey, the Art Curator for We Care Arts, and I have some exciting news to share! I’ll be stepping away from my teaching role to focus full-time on art curation and event planning. I’m thrilled about this new chapter and the opportunity to further showcase the incredible work of our artist-clients throughout the community.
Recently, I curated a display at Town & Country’s Breezeway, which featured a beautiful mix of pieces inspired by our art history lessons, sculpture work, and large-scale works on easels. The display ran from July 31st through August 4th.
Looking ahead, I’ll be collaborating with Eylina, our Outreach Coordinator, to set up an Art Can Work gallery at the Optimist Regional Conference. This exhibit will be on view at the Hope Hotel in Fairfield from August 14th through 18th. We also continue to have rotating displays at Eudora Brewhouse and 10 Wilmington Place, be sure to check them out!
Our recent Arts & Jazz event was a huge success! It was wonderful to welcome the community into our studio space and share the amazing art I get to see every day. During the event, we kicked off our second annual Together We Care project, where 24 pairings will collaborate on pieces for our Gala auction in February. Our Together We Care pairings are made up of 24 We Care Arts artist-clients and 24 Dayton community artists.
I’m truly excited for what’s ahead and all the inspiring exhibitions and events we’ll have this year. Thanks for reading and for supporting our mission!
