Generous grants to support Outreach, Transition To Work and Visiting Artist

In the realm of nonprofit art organizations, support from local organizations can make a significant difference. We Care Arts, is delighted to announce the receipt of generous grants from Altrusa and Reynolds & Reynolds. These grants are not just monetary contributions; they are investments in creativity, growth, and meaningful opportunities for individuals living with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses, who benefit from our programs.

Altrusa's Gift to the Visiting Artist Program

One of the most exciting initiatives at We Care Arts is the Visiting Artist Program, an innovative endeavor that brings talented artists and representatives from local organizations into our community to share their knowledge and expertise. Thanks to the benevolent support from Altrusa, we are able to host monthly classes where the artist-clients are exposed to a myriad of skills and artistic mediums.

By collaborating with artists who specialize in various disciplines, our clients have the chance to explore new horizons. Whether it's experimenting with watercolor, or mastering the nuances of selling their art, each session offers a fresh perspective and a new set of skills.

Building Confidence and Community

The impact of the Visiting Artist Program goes beyond learning new techniques. It fosters a sense of community and belonging, encouraging our clients to express themselves and build confidence in a supportive environment. The opportunity to interact with professional artists and community volunteers also provides vital inspiration, helping clients to envision what is possible in their own artistic journeys.

Reynolds & Reynolds: Transition to Work

In addition to the enrichment provided by the Visiting Artist Program, the grant from Reynolds & Reynolds is directed towards Transition to Work. These initiatives are designed to ensure that our artist-clients not only find fulfillment through art but also acquire skills that are transferable to the broader society.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We Care Arts extends its deepest gratitude to Altrusa and Reynolds & Reynolds for their generous support. These grants are not merely financial contributions; they symbolize a shared commitment to nurturing creativity and fostering independence. As we continue to grow and evolve, we look forward to seeing the transformative impact these programs will have on our community.
