Our Outreach team has been celebrating the arrival of fall with festive paintings and Fall wreath making across our partner organizations!
We Care Arts held our final Memory Café with the Alzheimer’s Association in September. We have been honored to be a part of this partnership, bringing healing and community to those living with the disease and their family and friends. In our final class, participants enjoyed creating a fall wreath to bring warmth and joy to their homes. One participant expressed her thanks for the program, expressing how she sometimes feels unsure of her artwork, but that working in our classroom environment makes her feel comfortable with trying new projects. Though our outreach partnership is coming to an end, We Care Arts continues to support the Alzheimer’s Association as a partner through referral and promotion of services.
Interested in trying a class with We Care Arts? Maker Mondays is for you! Join in as Outreach Coordinator, Paige, guides you through an art and mindfulness experience on the last Monday of each month from 5:30 – 7pm at our Berkeley Campus. In our upcoming class on October 26th, learn how to create a felted pumpkin, the perfect fall décor.
