Congratulations Artist-Client of the Month: Cindy A.

This February, we're thrilled to spotlight Cindy A. as our Artist-Client of the Month at We Care Arts. Cindy, a talented and dedicated artist from Xenia, has been a cherished member of our community for over a decade. Her journey with us is a testament to her artistic growth and commitment, making her an inspiration to all who know her.

A Passionate Journey in Art

Cindy's artistic journey began long before she joined We Care Arts. Her love for creating has been a constant in her life, with skills in sculpture, ceramics, and pastel drawing. Since becoming part of our community, she has expanded her repertoire to include painting, sewing, weaving, and jewelry making, showcasing her eagerness to explore and refine her craft.

Her art is deeply inspired by her personal life and interests. Cindy's flower garden, her beloved cats, and platforms like YouTube and Pinterest serve as her muses, providing endless ideas and creativity.

Building Connections Through Art

One of the aspects Cindy treasures most about We Care Arts is the connection it provides to other artists and the broader art community. This sense of belonging has been vital in nurturing her artistic spirit and offering a space where she can continuously learn and grow.

Cindy’s teacher, Leesa Haapapauro, has been an influential figure in her artistic development. Leesa first met Cindy many years ago in a sculpture class at Sinclair College. "She impressed me back then with her eagerness to experiment with different materials and learn new techniques," recalls Leesa. Reconnecting at We Care Arts has been a joy for both, as Cindy continues to impress with her varied studio practice, which includes drawing, painting, and jewelry making.

Leesa admires Cindy’s perseverance and commitment to her art: "Her calm presence always makes our class enjoyable. She is committed to making art, and her persistence is inspirational!" This dedication is evident in her work, which can be admired at the We Care Arts gallery/shop in Town & Country Mall.

Cindy's Art and Life Integration

Cindy's life is a beautiful blend of art and personal passions. In addition to her visual art, she enjoys gardening, where her creativity flourishes in the physical world. Her home studio is a testament to this integration, a space where her cats often lend a paw, particularly during fiber projects.
