PRESS RELEASE: Celebrating Generous Grants

KETTERING, OHIO — We Care Arts is thrilled to announce the receipt of several generous grants that will significantly enhance our community outreach and support programs. These funds will allow us to further our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges through creative expression and community.

The Niels A. Lundgard and Ruth Lundgard Foundation, through 5/3 Bank, has awarded We Care Arts with Outreach funding. This funding will support quarterly programs in collaboration with the Piqua YMCA throughout 2025. These initiatives aim to extend our reach and offer creative arts programming to a broader audience, fostering inclusivity and community engagement.

Additionally, we are grateful for the support from the Physician’s Charitable Funding. This grant will facilitate the continued growth of our Transition to Work Program, which is implemented in Special Needs Classrooms across the Greater Miami Valley.

Furthermore, the Community Foundation for Kettering has awarded a grant to support We Care Arts' ongoing presence at the Town & Country Shopping Center. Our store at this location sells the artwork created by our talented artist-clients, all of whom are diagnosed with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and mental health conditions. The store not only showcases their incredible work but also serves as a training site for our Employment Services Program, providing real-world job skills and experience to our sales associate-clients.

"We are incredibly thankful for these generous grants, which enable us to continue and expand our programs," said Katie Neubert, Executive Director of We Care Arts. "These partnerships are vital in helping us achieve our goal of transforming lives through the power of art and community."  Katie Neubert
