Curator's Corner - June

Hello everyone,

I’m Lacey, the Art Curator here at We Care Arts, and I’m excited to share some updates!

May was a busy month for our art displays throughout the community! I updated Eudora with some beautiful oil and acrylic still life paintings. Wholly Grounds was refreshed with pieces by Danielle H. These works are bold, colorful, and full of texture. At

10 Wilmington Place, new felt collages are bringing fun, bright colors to the mail room. The Schuster Center now features felt pieces inspired by famous paintings. I love seeing the creativity of our artist-clients and I hope these pieces bring joy to our community.

I want to give our artist-client Lana T. a shoutout! Her piece, “Flower Mountain,” was accepted into Rosewood’s 32nd Annual The View Juried Landscape Exhibition. The exhibit will be on view at the Rosewood Arts Center from June 8 through July 18. Be sure to stop by and see Lana’s beautiful work!

We are also beginning to recruit professional artists in the Greater Miami Valley to participate in our 2027 Together We Care project. Together We Care is a collaborative community initiative in which We Care Arts artist-clients and professional artists work together to co-create artwork that will be auctioned at our Gala. Becoming a Together We Care Community Artist is a fun and meaningful opportunity to give back while also increasing visibility as an artist.

Thank you for your continued support of We Care Arts!
