May Grants: We Care Arts Secures Vital Funding
April Grant Report
At We Care Arts, we believe that creativity holds the power to transform lives. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through art, fostering personal growth, self-confidence, and a sense of community. We're thrilled to share some exciting news that will enable us to deepen our impact and expand our reach.
Grants that Make a Difference
Recently, We Care Arts received two significant grants that will enhance our programs and extend our support to the community. Both ALDI and The Disability Foundation have recognized the value of our mission and have generously provided us with the resources to continue our work.
ALDI's Contribution: Meeting Basic Needs
ALDI has awarded us a $400 Basic Human Needs Grant. This grant has been used to purchase essential items such as coffee pods and supplies. While these might seem like small contributions, they play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our participants. By addressing these basic needs, we ensure that everyone who steps through our doors feels supported and ready to engage in our programs.
Expanding Reach with The Disability Foundation
We are also grateful to The Disability Foundation for their substantial $5,000 grant. This funding is earmarked for the expansion of our Outreach and ArtWorks programs. With this support, we can reach more individuals in the community, offering them the opportunity to discover the transformative power of art. This expansion means increased participant support and enhanced resources for creative expression.
A Bright Future Ahead
These grants represent more than just financial support; they are a testament to the community’s belief in our mission and the potential of our participants. As Katie Neubert, our Executive Director, aptly put it: "We are deeply grateful to ALDI and The Disability Foundation for their invaluable support. These grants will enable us to continue providing essential services and expand our reach, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve."
