Outreach Updates March

In February, our Outreach partners found joy in the cold weather through art making! At Brigid’s Path, mothers created finger-knit hats for their babies, at Eastway, we explored color theory, bringing bright colors to the winter months, and at our Alzheimer's Association Memory Café, our participants had a lively class where they made connections with others and created decoupage mugs to use in their homes. One participant expressed how happy she was to have the chance to make art again after many years. She was overjoyed that “everyone here is so kind”.

Coming up in April, We Care Arts Outreach is looking forward to continuing our partnership with the Dayton Metro Library, holding 3 outreach classes at the Trotwood, Miamisburg, and West Carrollton branches. Look out for project announcements coming soon!

We are excited to see the Outreach Program continue to grow, and invite you to reach out if you think your organization may benefit from art lessons with a mindfulness focus! If you are interested in having WCA come to your organization or would like to learn more, please contact Eylina Ogden at eogden@wecarearts.com
