February Grant Announcement: Supporting Growth & Community Engagements

We are thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous grant from the Dorwood Optimist Club to We Care Arts. This grant will significantly bolster two of our vital programs: Transition To Work and the much-anticipated Spring event, Evening At The Races.

Transition To Work: Empowering Futures

Transition To Work is a state-created initiative that supports students with special needs, ages 16 to 22, as they move from high school into employment and independent living. At We Care Arts, we strengthen this important in-school program by providing art kits for weekly art classes that build essential life and job skills. Thanks to the generosity of the Dorwood Optimist Club, we can broaden our resources and create even more opportunities for our participants. This program not only encourages greater independence but also nurtures a more inclusive community by celebrating the unique abilities and contributions of every individual.

Evening At The Races: A Celebration of Community

Join us for an exhilarating and fun-filled Evening At The Races this Spring! This annual event brings together community members, supporters, and participants for a night of entertainment, camaraderie, and fundraising. The grant from the Dorwood Optimist Club will help us enhance the event experience, ensuring a memorable evening for all attendees.
