At the heart of We Care Arts is a profound mission: empowering healing through art and community. The organization envisions a future where people with diverse abilities can achieve their full potential and feel embraced by an inclusive society. This vision is brought to life through our comprehensive programs and classes, designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and mental health diagnoses.
Why Become an Artist-Client?
1. Enhance Artistic Skills and Confidence
We Care Arts offers a variety of classes under the ArtWORKS program, available at the Berkeley Center Studio Campus and virtually. These classes are meticulously designed by the Education & Curriculum Manager, Anna Brown, and are taught by trained artists. Whether you're interested in painting, sculpture, sewing, or any other medium, these classes are tailored to enhance your skills and boost your confidence.
2. Access to Diverse Learning Opportunities
Classes are held Monday through Friday, with two sessions each day: 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM. The diverse curriculum ensures that there is something for everyone, no matter your interest or skill level. Moreover, the organization frequently hosts Visiting Artists who offer invaluable insights, such as how to market yourself as an artist or price your art for sale.

4. Exhibit and Sell Your Artwork
We Care Arts provides platforms for artist-clients to display their work in exhibits. Additionally, some artwork is sold in our gift shop at the Town & Country Shopping Center in Kettering. This exposure not only boosts confidence but also provides a tangible way for our artists-clients to see the value of their creations.
How to Become an Artist-Client
Becoming an artist-client is a straightforward process. You'll need a referral from a doctor, therapist, or religious leader. Once you have your referral, complete the application, which can be downloaded or completed online through the We Care Arts website.
