Celebrating Generous Grants for ArtWorks & Transition To Work

Centerville High School ITOP students

We Care Arts is thrilled to announce the receipt of several generous grants that will significantly enhance our programs and facilities. These funds will empower us to continue our mission of transforming lives through the power of creativity and community. We are deeply grateful to each foundation for their support and belief in our vision. Here is a closer look at how these grants will be utilized to benefit our community.

Lucky 13 Fund and African American Community Fund: Supporting Transition To Work

We are excited to announce that We Care Arts has received a grant of $5,835 from the Lucky 13 Fund, a part of the Tipp City Foundation, for our Transition To Work program. Additionally, we have been awarded $1,000 from the African American Community Fund, specifically for the Transition To Work initiative at Trotwood High School. Transition To Work is a state-established program designed to assist students with special needs, aged 16 to 22, in navigating the transition from high school to employment and independent living. At We Care Arts, we enhance this vital in-school program by offering weekly art classes that reinforce essential life and job skills.

Elevar Family Fund: Enhancing ArtWorks

Our ArtWorks program has received a much-needed boost with a $5,000 grant from the Elevar Family Fund. The ArtWorks program provides opportunities for individuals living with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses, to explore their creativity while building self-esteem and community connections.

Brighter Tomorrow: A Comfortable Learning Environment

Creating a conducive learning environment is essential for our artist-clients to thrive. Thanks to a $9,000 grant from Brighter Tomorrow, we will be able to purchase new chairs for our classrooms. Comfortable seating is a fundamental aspect of an effective learning space, and this upgrade will enhance the overall experience for everyone involved in our programs.

Moving Forward Together

We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Lucky 13 Fund, the African American Community Fund, the Elevar Family Fund, and Brighter Tomorrow.

At We Care Arts, we believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to change lives. With these new resources, we are more determined than ever to make a lasting impact in the community. Thank you to everyone who supports us in this journey. Your belief in our cause fuels our passion and drives us to continue making a difference, one creative endeavor at a time.
