Art and Community

Hello everyone!

I’m Lacey, the Art Curator here at We Care Arts, and I’m excited to share some updates with you for the month of March!

First, I want to say how wonderful it was to see everyone enjoying the art gallery portion of the Gala this year. Our artist-clients and community artist pairings did an incredible job creating these pieces, and I loved that we were able to offer multiple opportunities for people to experience them, first at the Front Street opening reception, and then again at the Gala art gallery.

In March, we’ll be participating in the Brain Health Symposium. Not only will our staff be involved, but we’ll also have the opportunity to display artwork from our talented artist-clients. Showcasing their work at this event will help elevate the space and spark meaningful conversations among attendees.

We will also have an art display booth set up during the Gift of Down Syndrome Celebration weekend at 2nd Street Market. Be sure to stop by, enjoy the artwork, and support this wonderful community!

Our Production class has begun creating ceramic medals for Run for Lily. This is our second year creating these medals, and we are so happy to be a part of this meaningful event. Our classes have also been hard at work on new artwork, and I’m excited to refresh our displays at Eudora and Wholly Grounds.

Thank you for reading and for your continued support of We Care Arts!
