Volunteer Opportunities

Woodshop:

• Good knowledge of general woodworking power tools such as the table saw, router, band saw, drill press, Shopsmith Mark V, and scroll saw

• Ability to follow instructions in assembly of products

• Assist with tool maintenance

Trim Room:

• Complete client projects, as needed, with assembly and finishing touches

Gift Shop:

• Greet and assist customers with purchases

• Be an advocate for We Care Arts and share our mission with customers

Craft and Style shows:

• Greet and assist customers with purchases

• Be an advocate for We Care Arts and share our mission with customers

• Set up and take down the We Care Arts craft booth and the projects involved with the show

• Make telephone calls

• Help with mailings

Assisting WCA participants:

• Assist WCA artists who have both mental and physical disabilities

• Enjoy working on craft projects such as painting, clay, jewelry, sewing, computers and other medium

• Encourage artists while patiently helping them to follow instructions

• Understand that the artists are more important than the products
